Forsk Releases Atoll One, a dedicated version of Atoll for Private Mobile Network Planning Forsk announces the release of Atoll One, a dedicated version of Atoll, specifically designed for the planning and optimisation of small to medium-sized outdoor and indoor Private Mobile Networks.

Naos is an automation platform for RAN planning and optimisation that delivers off-the-shelf features and full customisation capabilities through REST APIs. Naos helps mobile operators streamline their 5G deployments by automating and scaling 5G planning processes in the cloud. Typical use cases include 5G site selection, massive prediction calculations, process-oriented radio planning and optimisation, and more. Naos 4.0 includes new cloud-native micro-services that enable easier orchestration and scheduling of automated RAN planning processes.

Forsk announces that the new version 3.5.1 of Atoll, its leading RAN planning & optimisation tool, is available. Among a number of new features, Atoll 3.5 supports the latest 5G technology evolutions and includes extended massive MIMO antenna modelling capabilities. Atoll 3.5.1 also offers several new indoor modelling features and pushes further its unique combined indoor/outdoor RAN planning and optimisation functionalities.

Forsk has provided Atoll licenses including 5G modules, as well as installation services including migration from legacy tools and user training. Atoll is installed on a centralised cloud-based infrastructure to which users from the operation companies connect, providing Deutsche Telekom with an harmonised and streamlined Atoll configuration. “Deutsche Telekom is a strong reference with challenging requirements that come from its innovative corporate culture.” said Vincent Spiegel, Head of Sales at Forsk. “We worked closely with Deutsche Telekom to build a solution that can help operations design their 5G networks effectively and integrate 5G within the existing technologies.”

Forsk announces that 120 wireless network operators are using Atoll to plan and optimise their on-air and future 5G networks. More than half of the MNOs using Atoll 5G are based in Europe, while others are spread across the Americas, Asia, and the Middle East.
